Admittedly, the major graphic overhaul is still coming which is problematic in its way, but ultimately, the graphics are fine. It’s just odd for the game to be touted as bringing all-new graphics to bear and not shining. Later, there are a few cutscenes with a woman who face just looks off strangely. It’s not a good look and gladly it goes away quickly. The first cutscene that introduces the players to the main characters has the girls looking a little bit like plastic dolls. Features that are missing, features that are lacking and features that are buggy.Īt the same time, the graphics as they are in the game look acceptable. They weren’t available at launch and while I can’t speculate on the exact reason, it does summarize what is going to be a running theme through Youngblood. Unfortunately, the RTX enhancements are not released for the game yet.
I’m not 100 percent sure what this game can do with my hardware. As stated, I received the game because of a new computer with a Geforce RTX card so I was a bit excited to see what my new hardware can do. So I expected the game to impress me with its graphics. Wolfenstein: Youngblood got a lot of attention due to it being listed as one of the first games to support Geforce’s ray tracing. That last part might be more important than you realize, but we’ll get there. Also, the game is 30 dollars for the game, or 40 dollars to add on a buddy pass.

You see, after Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, I said the series should focus more on the story, and develop their main characters, more than trying to push a more subtle narrative, and ultimately that is what happened, however it seems that much of the rest of the game got away from Arkane Studios and thus we’ll have to dive back into Wolfenstein, this time with twin sisters and see what the ultimate result is. If you choose to sacrifice Wyatt, your super weapon will be the Laserkraftwerk. If you choose to sacrifice Fergus, your super weapon will be the Dieselkraftwerk. Whoever you select, the opposite one will be alive in Wolfenstein 2. The decision that Deathshead asks you to make is to sacrifice one character or the other. You’ll need to make this choice at the very beginning of the game and it does not tell you that you’ll get a different weapon depending on who you choose to save.
While it doesn’t change the story entirely, it does have an impact. Each character offers new dialogue options and cutscenes. If you choose Wyatt to be saved, Fergus will not be included in the game and vice versa. Depending on who you choose to save, the story will change quite a bit in Wolfenstein 2. First let’s start with the story elements. Your decision not only impacts the storyline of the game, but it also grants you a special weapon to use for the entirety of the campaign. You’ll be asked by General Deathshead to save either Wyatt or Fergus. For those that have played The New Order, this choice will be familiar. You’ll be asked to choose between two characters to save. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus gives you a very important choice at the beginning of the game.
